Lamar Dunn & Associates, Inc. began operations November 1, 1982 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Founder and President Lamar Dunn started the company after nine years with an international consulting firm where he served as Executive Vice President. The initial service disciplines were civil/sanitary.
The philosophy of the firm was to limit the geographical reach in such a way that excellent service could be provided within a few hours drive. That general philosophy remains in effect today. LD&A has expanded its service area by adding offices in the Tri-Cities and Chattanooga areas of Tennessee and Marietta, GA.
On most of our projects, we act as the “trusted adviser” rather than overseeing single task assignments. Over our history, LD&A has provided an array of services often available only through much larger firms. In our role as "trusted adviser", LD&A provides full services from initial vision to implementation/operation.
